I am a Consultant Solicitor specialising in family law, with over thirty years’ experience. I am accredited as a member of the Law Society Advanced Family Law Panel and am a member of Resolution.
I pride myself in providing a friendly, supportive and professional service. I fully understand that life circumstances are often very stressful for my clients and can be life changing. My aim is to help you through this difficult time and enable you and any children to move on with your lives.
I deal with all family matters including divorce, separation, dissolution of civil partnerships, children matters, finances on separation or divorce and injunctions. It is
not always about separating, but can be protecting or regulating your circumstances through a pre-nuptial or cohabitation agreement.
I have also dealt with private client matters for many years and can help clients with Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney.
I live locally and have always worked in West Yorkshire, although I have worked with clients across the country and even abroad.
I was pleased to join Open Law on 1st June 2026. I chose the firm, as they offer a down-to -earth service and put people at the heart of all they do, an ethos which fully aligns with my own. I have enjoyed returning to work in Slaithwaite where I was brought up, went to school and married. It has been great to start to get to know all the friendly staff and the office dog.
I hope to get word out that I am here to help with family matters and to build the department within the firm. It is really important that people are able to access at least initial specialist advice and not rely on a limited internet or AI search, online forum or associates who may have their own agenda, where “advice” is often wrong or misses important issues. In my spare time, I love spending time with my family, including my children and first grandchild (another on the way). I have two crazy labradors and enjoy being outdoors. I also like puzzling/quizzes and reading, mainly crime fiction.
