Case Study: What’s it like to be an Open Law client?

It’s all well and good us telling you what services we provide and the fact that we ‘go the extra mile’, or some other promo cliché, but it’s quite another thing to experience it for yourself.

For this blog, we’re going to do something a little bit different.

We’re going to share with you some client feedback but this isn’t just your every-day testimonial – this feedback speaks volumes about just how dedicated our team truly is.

The client has asked not to be named, but you can read about their experience below.

My Uncle Needed a Will

He became ill soon after and was admitted to hospital where he deteriorated very quickly and sadly he was moved to palliative care.

He was distressed at the thought of not having his Will in place, so I spent about 3 hours ringing around nearly every solicitor in the area and asking for a same day will, but I was having no luck at all.

Then I rang Open Law, and Chloe responded in a way that really took me by surprise. She went above and beyond anything I could have imagined to make sure my Uncle got his Will.

The Will was written and signed within two and a half hours. Chloe even brought a witness with her to the hospital.

She spent 1 to 1 time with my uncle by his hospital bed to make sure she captured all his wishes.

When Chloe left and I went to see my uncle, he told me how lovely and reassuring she was, and that he couldn’t have asked for a better person to have come that day.

Chloe was very professional but also very calm, caring and empathic of the situation. As soon as the Will was complete, my uncle’s whole body language relaxed and he was able to talk about other things like his childhood memories, and his favourite music.

My uncle sadly passed away two days later. Chloe then helped me throughout the whole process to ensure my uncle’s wishes were carried out from start to finish.

I know your team do a wonderful job, and they most likely see it as ‘business as usual’, but during a really difficult time, it was reassuring to have Chloe to speak to and answer my questions.

Moving House

Rachael and Donna in particular have been so patient with me! I have had a lot of questions during the last few months, and at times I have felt overwhelmed (especially at the start) but Rachael and the team have always answered my questions.

Donna once even sat with me in the office to go through some paperwork that needed signing (I thought I’d be there for an hour, but it only took about 5 mins!)

Lisa’s team have always communicated well and have definitely made the process a lot smoother than I anticipated.
